Civic Engagement Week

Civic Engagement at WSU… it’s about Cougs caring. Students make a difference through community service, leadership, becoming educated citizens, and advocating for change. They give back to the communities that have supported them and they help others to do the same. They care enough to give back and we want to thank them for it. Please join the Center for Civic Engagement the Week of April 6th - 11th, 2009 to recognize all of the WSU community’s efforts to make a difference. Take place in a service project, attend a class presentation, and attend the Cougs Care recognition event. Most importantly, thank a civically engaged Coug for all the good things he or she has done to make the world a better place.
Distinguished Service Learning Award
Each year the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) recognizes one student, one faculty member, and one community partner who display a commitment to learning through campus-community engagement. Nominations are reviewed by a committee of faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Click here for more information.
