Welcome, Community Partners!
Welcome to the WSU Center for Civic Engagement's Community Partners page. We hope that you will find the resources you need to engage students in meaningful civic engagement while furthering the goals of your organization.
Washington State University is committed to its land grant heritage and tradition of service to society. Part of WSU's mission is to provide opportunities for its students to "realize their highest potential and assume roles of leadership, responsibility, and service to society" (). The places an emphasis on creating transformational student experiences that include expanding learning opportunities outside the classroom. Community organizations play a key role in providing meaningful opportunities for student engagement that are mutually beneficial to both students and community organizations. The CCE exists to foster these connections and facilitate engagement between campus and communities. Currently, the CCE is funded to support community engagement on the WSU Pullman, WSU Vancouver, and WSU Global (online) campuses.
Each semester, WSU students seek out opportunities to engage with their community. These opportunities range from one time events, service learning course projects, community-based research opportunities, and semester-long service learning internships. Use the links below to learn more about how to partner with WSU to develop opportunities for community engagement.
