The Center for Civic Engagement utilizes an online database system called Service Learning Pro (SLPro).  This system allows information to be accessed and shared by you, the CCE, community partners, and your students.  Features include easy access to student service hour reports, community partner contact information, and a comprehensive list of community needs and service project opportunities.  Additionally, SLPro includes a student orientation and process to help your students get started in the community. 

 

While SLPro helps to signficantly streamline the planning and implementatio of your service learning experiences, the CCE is still available to personally help you and your students get connected to community issues.  Please contact Vernette Doty, Academic Program Coordinator, at (509) 335-3271 or vdoty@wsu.edu, to discuss including service learning in your course.  it is advised to start the planning process at least 6 weeks prior to the star to the semester in which you will be offering your course.  You may also read Guide to SLProfor assistance.
