Campus Crest Communities Donates $5,000 to Center for Civic Engagement

P1060983

On November 29, Campus Crest Communities staff from North Carolina and Pullman gathered at the WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) as Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer Mike Hartnett presented the CCE with a check for $5,000. Campus Crest, founded by Mike Hartnett and Ted Rollins in 2004, develops student housing with a mission to provide an environment that fosters growth, learning, and civic responsibility. Campus Crest Communities will begin construction on a student housing property in Pullman in 2013 and, in keeping with a tradition to support the local community of the new property, selected the Center for Civic Engagement as the recipient of the gift of $5,000.  “We are very appreciative of this gift which will support the student-centered programming of the CCE”, said Melanie Brown, CCE Director. The Center for Civic Engagement offers opportunities for WSU students, faculty, campus departments, and community partners to share knowledge, skills and resources for the benefit of student learning and the wellbeing of our communities.
