Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD)

April 18, 2017 | 4:30 PM – 7 PM

The Leadership and Engagement Awards of Distinction (LEAD) event is a celebration of WSU student leaders and those who have mentored and supported the efforts of these students as they work towards leadership and social change. LEAD is the premiere event of the CCE's Civic Engagement Week celebration.

The LEAD program traditionally includes an address from the current ASWSU and GPSA Presidents and Vice Presidents, the inauguration of the incoming ASWSU officers, a Gallery of Leadership featuring other leadership awards from around campus and student projects, and the presentation of the President’s Award for Leadership. The WSU President offers remarks at the event, and President's Award winners have their photo taken with the President.

The LEAD event is open to the public and will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the Compton Union Senior Ballroom on the WSU Pullman campus.

  • Live Streaming

The LEAD event is live streamed so that Global Campus students as well as recipient friends and family at a distance can view the presentation of the awards. Live streaming will begin after the Gallery of Leadership has concluded and the presentation begins at approximately 5:30 PM. LEAD will be live streamed and recorded on the CCE YouTube channel. Individuals who are not able to join us for the live stream can watch the video on the CCE YouTube channel anytime after the event concludes.
