Are
you looking for a low cost, not-too-far from home adventure over Spring
Break? If so, we invite you to join us on the fifth annual “Spring to
Action, Break for Change” service trip through Washington to participate
in a variety of sustainable agriculture and natural resources service
learning projects! You will have a great time exploring both urban and natural environments and enjoy the company of other WSU students. This great trip is hosted by the Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Center for Civic Engagement at WSU.
Spring
to Action Break for Change is an opportunity for students to learn and
have fun while making a difference during spring break. Students and
faculty from WSU travel together to various locations around Washington
State to learn about and contribute to sustainable agriculture, natural
resources, and food systems issues.Service projects include community gardens, sustainable farms and a natural resources center. A more detailed itinerary will be provided to participants before the trip. All service can be tracked through the Center for Civic Engagement!
Spring to Action, Break for Change trip expenses are mostly covered with the exception of 2-3 meals and miscellaneous personal expenses. The Center for Civic Engagement, the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resources and community sponsors cover the costs for transportation, lodging and some meals. Space is limited, so apply early!
